My baby boy is growing up. There's really no denying it now. Sniff sniff. Last week he spent his last night in his crib. Yes, he has been 3 years old for a few months now and still in a crib --I know, I know. I followed the advice of several wise moms who'd already been there, done that. Their advice was simple: if he's not climbing out of the crib then keep him there as long as possible. Well my Reid has never been a climber and he adores his crib, so there hasn't been a need. I can already tell that I have a climber on my hands with little sister, though, so this post for her might be coming a lot sooner than 3 yrs.! ;-)
We have been talking about Reid's "big boy bed" for months now to the point that he was so super stoked to get it. On New Year's Day we went shopping as a family to find the perfect bed and hopefully hit up a good sale while we were at it. Reid was adorable, laying on every bed at the store while saying, "Is this my bed?" So adorable! Reminded me of the book, "Are You My Mother?" Anywho, here are some pics of our baby BIG boy enjoying his last night in his precious crib. We love you little man!
Such cute pictures! We just moved Luke into a whole new room this weekend so we can start getting the nursery ready again--I was sad for him to leave his room but I know it is part of growing up.

i stayed in my crib FOREVER too! my parents took a picture of me the day i "moved up." i was holding a sign that said my age...i believe i was over three as well!
ReplyDeleteawww!! it's so hard to see them grow up, isn't it?! & don't worry - you're not alone! we only just changed hudson to his toddler bed out of necessity for little sister coming soon - otherwise, i would have left him in the crib, too!!
