La Isla Bonita

My man and I just returned from a fabulous trip to Isla Mujeres with friends.  It was absolute perfection.  I'm ready to go back.  The best thing about coming home, though, was returning to two adorable little cuties waiting for us with smiles.  Considering they were staying with their Grandparents, though, they had their own perfect vacation as well.  I'm not sure how ready they were to return home.  Since I got so immersed in the whole culture on this gorgeous island, I found myself still speaking my broken up Spanish (ie vocabulary words that 5 years worth of Spanish class will teach you) in the airports back in the states.  Memo: you are now in the USA.  ;-)
The gorgeous water of the Caribbean along with the beautiful white sand was perfection for a tropical adventure.  More pics to come, but my man found a cave in these rocks exploring while I was looking for Conch shells to take back to the babies.
My favorite place to hang out...so wonderful.  If you look closely in the background across the ocean you can see what looks like buildings.  That's Cancun.  Isla Mujeres (the Island of Women for all you Spanish newbies) is a tiny island about 20 minutes by Ferry from Cancun.  It is only 5 miles long and full of Mexican culture and character.  It is safe (a common question these days) to roam all around the island.  We loved our place, loved the restaurants, loved the markets, loved the people, etc.  I cannot wait to go back again someday if we should be so blessed.
