We stayed at our friend, Ashley's family home in Isla Mujeres.  Casa de Abuela was named after her Grandmother (her Abuelita) who bought the home years ago on the island.  It is an absolute treasure with unique Mexican architecture and details.  It sits right on the ocean, overlooking the gorgeous Caribbean.  Another treat was being in Mexico with Ashley who is completely fluent in Spanish.  I could listen to her talk to the locals all day in her perfect Spanish accent.  She is extremely smart to begin with, but growing up going to Mexico taught her well!  My other friend, Amy, is very fluent at understanding Spanish too from her background.  So cool!

Another view from the shore...there were 5 bedrooms in this awesome house.
This is one view from the front driveway.  We stayed at the front in a bungalow that was it's own house.  You took that path on the right and it was a two-story little mini house of Casa de Abuela.
The yacht club for Isla Mujeres is next door.  This is a pic from the dock there of beautiful Casa.
The glorious yacht club which was my favorite spot to sit poolside and oceanside.
Headed to yacht club.
Again, perfection for this poolside ocean-loving girl.
Thank you to Ashley and Josh for inviting us to this Caribbean delight!
