Trips with friends are so much fun! Recently I headed to the ranch with a group of wonderful women and this time I headed to Fredricksburg with another wonderful group of women. It was a refreshing weekend of having some adult time with some awesome women.
The next picture is what we declared we'd like to be in about 40 years...aren't they the cutest? I also realized on this trip that my skin tone is an absurd shade of pale...God blessed me with it I realize, but woo--ready for the sun to hit the skin!
We thought the entire weekend was hilarious b/c for such a small town it didn't seem like anyone who lived/worked there knew anything about anything. It pretty much became a joke.
Here's the creepy old lady mannequin sitting out in front of one store. I named her "Gertrude."
Above is our adorable humble abode. It was just the right size to work perfectly! Below is us trying to leave, yet not being able to b/c as we drove off we realized the trunk was still up. Oops. Women.
We had a blast to say the least. Way too many funny and memorable moments to mention but some of my faves included:
- We wanted to head to karaoke b/c 3 of the 5 of us have really great voices (myself is one of the 2 remaining that does NOT have a good voice) and knew of two spots for the evening. When telling us about one, the waiter said: "It's more of a yuppie place." After arriving at this "yuppie" establishment we came to the conclusion that said waiter is in a close running for 'Comment of the Decade' with Valet parking attendant from last year's Arizona trip who said the following gem: "Scottsdale is the LA of Arizona." Yeah. Yuppie did not ever come close to entering my mind as an adjective to describe this wonder, although it was a blast!
- "Uh, I guess......we've never really done that before." ~Waitress at Rather Sweet. This was in response to our question of, "Can we heat our pecan bar pie?" The response was said in a monotone voice with a rather shock and awe facial expression. It was a real doozy to heat that pecan bar, lemme tell ya!
- "My girlfriend is leaving for Iraq next week and you better get your girls up to dance to this song!" ~ Girlfriend. I'm not going to go into a detailed explanation on this one, but this was told to us at the "yuppie" establishment. The song was Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's, "It's Your Love." I'll never look at that song the same again, although I am thankful for our service men and women (I feel as if I need to put that last statement in to sound PC).
And this is why I love trips with the ladies...so many fun memories made in such a short amount of time. Can't wait until next time!

I want to hang out with you more. I've been laughing out loud. That trip sounds hilarious and so fun! The comments and memories are awesome. Yall are funny. Save me a bed for your next trip. btw...yall all look rather sassy for Freddy...you're the high class hot yuppies!!!
